These terms are an agreement between you and PHL Trails for UNESCO ("we", "us") about your use of the PHL Trails for UNESCO website and mobile app (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them.
Using the service
The service helps you discover and visit heritage sites, trails, events and partner establishments in the Philippines. You may use it for your own, non-commercial purposes. Please do not misuse it: do not try to break or overload it, get into other people's accounts, scrape it, or record visits you did not make.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe. Tell us if you think someone else is using it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Visits, XP and quests
Visits are recorded by scanning the official QR code at a place. Experience points (XP), quests, badges and the leaderboard are for fun: they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged. We may adjust or remove points earned through errors or misuse.
Safety when visiting
Heritage sites, trails and natural areas can be dangerous. Trail information, weather and advisories can be out of date. Follow site rules, local regulations and official guidance, respect the communities and places you visit, and travel at your own risk. Do not use the app in a way that distracts you from your surroundings.
Content
The descriptions, photos and other content in the service belong to us, our partners or their owners. You may share links and use the in-app sharing features. You may not copy or republish the content without permission. Event details and opening hours are provided by organisers and partners and can change; check with them before you go.
Third-party services
Maps, directions, booking pages and partner websites are run by others and have their own terms.
Our responsibility
We provide the service "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise it will always be either. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the service or from relying on its content.
Changes
We may update these terms. We publish each new version here with its date, and if a change is significant the app asks you to agree to it before you continue.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
